The Dragons and Joros put on an offensive show Sunday at Lakeside. After 4 innings the Dragons were in command behind a Grand Slam from Danny Ungaro (HR #2 on the season), a sold blast from Joey Cafario (.316) and Cody Tournear cruising on the mound. Then the Joros put 6 on the board to cut the lead to 9-8.

The Dragons answered with 2 in their 5th behind back to back to back singles from Jose Mendoza (.529), Jonathon Bergdorf (.333), and John Malcolm (.444). A one out single from Matt Bishop (.571) scored 2 runs to lead 11-8 after 5 innings.

Again, the Joros came back with a 6 spot on a 3 run HR and 2 run HR to take a 14-11 lead.

Not to be denied in the Dragons 6th, with 1 out, Dalton Davenport (.318) singled, Cody Tournear (.375) singled, and then Jose Mendoza drilled a 1-2 pitch for a 3 run HR to tie the game at 14!! It was Mendoza's 2nd HR of the year. Next batter, Bergdorf singled and John MF Malcolm (.444) hit a go ahead 2 run homer to take a 16-14 lead!! It was Malcolm's 4th hit of the game! The Dragons were not done. Robby Switts (.417) singled, Bishop walked and with 2 outs, Jack Bartlewski hits a 3 run homer!! It was HR #5 on the day for the team and suddenly it's a 19-14 game.

The Dragons would win 20-15 and the stat line is unbelievable. 23 hits. Every Dragon would get a hit and score a run for the 1st time in team history.

Malcolm's 4 hits led the way along with Joey Cafario's 4 hits and 3 RBI. Mendoza had 3 hits and Bishop, Bartlewski, Davenport, Tournear, and Bergdorf all had 2 of their own.

All in all, this was a crazy game and offensive show to witness. With wood bats, 100+ exit velos were spraying the field. The Dragons raised their team average to an astounding .378 and .989 OPS after being shut out last week for the first time in years.

The record improves to 4-3 as the Dragons ended a 3 game losing streak and littered with injuries.

The Dragons will travel to Shamrock to face the Cigars at noon next Sunday.
