2020 Dragons Outlook

The Dragons will return for a remarkable 25th season after appearing in their 4th consecutive MSBL 25+ Championship appearance. With the retirement of 2 time MSBL champ, Mike Brown, the Dragons welcome 2 new additions and wish Mike the best and thank him for being one of the best teammates we could've possibly had. He epitmized what the Dragons are all about, selflessly cleaning the dugout and field after games, getting foul balls, keeping the book, coaching the bases and always cheering on his team. In 2017, Mike worked his way up to batting 2nd in the lineup for most of the year and was 2nd on the team with a .470 OBP playing a huge role in the Dragons first ever championship. He will be missed.

The Dragons have added Daniel Jackson who will play many roles defensively as well as bring an impact bat to the lineup. In addition, Dragons HOF, Aaron Bickhart, returns after a 3 yr hiatus. Bickhart will bring added depth defensively and his bat will lengthen a deep lineup.

The 2019 Dragons ended last season losing 6 of their last 9 counting the USAB tourney in Myrtle Beach. The sour taste has lingering affects, as those 6 losses were by a combined 8 runs, 4 of walk off fashion, and 5 of them in the last at bat. 3 were in 10 innings.

That fuel has led many of us to start hitting and throwing in December this year and the Dragons traditional Super Bowl Sunday practice will officially launch the 2020 season. They will participate in the EMBL Tourney March 20-22 and open the MSBL season March 29th looking to reclaim their titles in both.

Cheers to 2020! Let's get it!
